This article will discuss the reasons why your refund would not be for the same amount as you paid at the time of reservation.
There are several reasons why you might notice that your refund amount is different than what you paid when you made the reservation. Here are some possibilities:
- RoverPass's platform fee is non-refundable. Please see the picture below. This is what is called the service fee in that picture. This amount will vary based on the price of the reservation and the actual campground.
- The Camper Processing Fee is also non-refundable. This amount is what is paid to the credit card processing company who is processing your credit card charges.
- Campgrounds have different cancellation policies. Some will take a percentage or a flat fee if the reservation is cancelled. Always look for the cancellation policy on the page where you submit your reservation request. Please see the picture below as an example:
