Overview
RoverPass Upkeep is the mobile app for your campground's housekeeping staff. It works hand in hand with the Task Management feature in the Owner Portal: managers create and assign cleaning tasks from the portal, and staff receive, work on, and complete those tasks from their phones using Upkeep.
Upkeep is a web app — it runs in the browser and can be installed on the phone's home screen like a regular app, on both iPhone and Android. There is nothing to download from the App Store or Google Play. See How to Install RoverPass Upkeep for installation steps.
Logging In
- Staff sign in with their RoverPass account (the same email and password they use for RoverPass.com).
- To get access, the staff member must first be added to the campground's team with the Housekeeping role. See How to Add and Manage Team Members (User Management).
- Password resets and changes are done on RoverPass.com — the app links there when needed.
The App at a Glance
Upkeep has four tabs at the bottom of the screen:
- Home — a quick summary of the day: tasks In Progress, tasks due Today, Upcoming tasks, and Recently Completed cleanings.
- Assigned — the full list of the staff member's tasks, with filters by Status (Active, Needs Cleaning, In Progress, Clean, All) and Priority (High, Medium, Low). Each task shows the site name, priority, and due date — overdue tasks are highlighted.
- History — all completed cleanings, with who completed each one, how long it took, and when.
- Profile — the staff member's account info, current campground, and Sign Out.
Working on a Task
Tapping a task opens its detail screen, where staff can:
- Start Cleaning — this starts a timer that tracks how long the cleaning takes. The site is marked as In Progress.
- Pause — if they need to step away, the task can be paused and resumed later (Resume Cleaning).
- Add Photos — up to 10 photos per task (JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC, max 10 MB each) to document the finished work. Photos are visible to managers in the Owner Portal's task history.
- Mark Clean — completes the task. The site is automatically marked as Clean in the Owner Portal, and the total cleaning time is recorded.
- Reopen — if something was missed, a completed task can be reopened.
Every action is recorded in the task's Status History — who started, paused, or completed the cleaning, and when.
One Task at a Time
Staff can only have one cleaning in progress at a time. If they try to start a second task, the app asks them to pause or complete the current one first. While a cleaning is active, a floating banner with a live timer stays visible across the app — tapping it returns to the active task.
Multiple Campgrounds
If a staff member works at more than one campground, they can switch between them by tapping the campground name at the top of the screen. Tasks are always shown for the selected campground.
Works Offline
Upkeep keeps a copy of the latest data on the device, so staff can still view their assignments even with poor or no signal around the property. An internet connection is required to start, complete, or update tasks and to upload photos.
