Partner Reservations

Partnerships and Opportunities for Additional Reservations

RoverPass continues to build its distribution network to get your property in front of as many campers as possible. Learn more about these partnerships below!

RoverPass has 2 Types of Partners to help you reach more campers with no extra hassle to you.  These are:

  1. Affiliate Partners
  2. Integrated Partners

Affiliate Partners:  As a RoverPass (Inventory or Request) Marketplace Campground*, a listing is created for you on all of the following sites when you go live with RoverPass.  Your RoverPass Checkout Page is linked on each of these listings to ensure that you can receive reservations (directly through RoverPass software) from all of these partners upon going live with RoverPass!

  • Campendium
  • Roadpass Digital
  • ToGo RV
  • Roadtrippers
  • CampgroundViews
  • RVShare
  • AAA Regional
  • AAA National

Integrated Partners:  As a RoverPass (Inventory) Marketplace Campground*, you can opt in to have a listing created for you on all of the following sites when you go live with RoverPass.  Through a direct integration, campers will then be able to book and pay directly through partner software!

*Non-partner OTA's:  While RoverPass does the heavy-lifting to get your RoverPass (Inventory) Campground bookable on the partners mentioned above, we realize there are some other Online Travel Agencies that a lot of you already have accounts with and would like to sync to your RoverPass Calendar.  We've got your back!  With the RoverPass Channel Manager*, you can also link your RoverPass account with:

FAQ:

Q: Am I a RoverPass Marketplace Campground* ?

A: Be sure to check your RoverPass agreement.  If you are not a RoverPass Marketplace Campground and would like to be, please reach out to RoverPass Support today!

Q: Am I a RoverPass Inventory or Request Campground* ?

A: As a RoverPass Inventory Campground, your Dashboard will read "Your RoverPass System: CRS - Central Reservation System" or "Your RoverPass System: Marketplace Inventory."  This means you have access to a RoverPass Availability Calendar in your RoverPass Owner Portal and you manage all of your inventory through RoverPass.  As a RoverPass Inventory Campground, reservations are booked in real time at your property and you do not approve/reject requests through the system.

As a RoverPass Request Campground, your Dashboard will read "Your RoverPass System: RRS - Reservation Request System" or "Your RoverPass System: Marketplace Request."  This means you do not manage all of your inventory through RoverPass.  As a RoverPass Request Campground, reservations are not booked in real time at your property and instead come to you as a request to approve or reject based on whether you have availability.

Q: Do I have access to the RoverPass Channel Manager* ?

A:  Be sure to check your RoverPass agreement.  If you do not have access to the RoverPass Channel Manager and would like to, please reach out to RoverPass Support today!

*All RoverPass Inventory Campgrounds are eligible to use the RoverPass Channel Manager to link to non-Partner OTA's.  RoverPass Request Campgrounds must upgrade to inventory to be able to use the Channel Manager.

*You do not have to be a RoverPass Marketplace Campground to use the RoverPass Channel Manager.

Q: What is the main difference between Affiliate Partners, Integrated Partners, and Non-partner OTAs?

A:

  • Affiliate Partners: Partners drive traffic from their website directly to your RoverPass booking page to checkout through RoverPass software.  The reservation shows up in your RoverPass
Reservation list as a real RoverPass Reservation. *Both RoverPass Inventory and Request Campgrounds are eligible to sign up to become a RoverPass Marketplace Campground and receive reservations from affiliate partners.

  • Integrated Partners: Partners drive traffic through their website to your property.  The integration allows the full transaction to take place on the Partner's software/checkout page.  The integration immediately places an inventory hold on your RoverPass Calendar with the guest's name and reservation information to make sure you do not get double-booked.
    • Difference from Affiliate Partners:  This is an inventory hold as opposed to a real RoverPass Reservation.
    • Difference from Affiliate Partners:  Only RoverPass Inventory Marketplace Campgrounds are eligible for reservations from Integrated Partners.  RoverPass Request Marketplace Campgrounds must upgrade to inventory to be able to receive reservations from Integrated Partners.
  • Non-partner OTAs: Non-partner OTAs drive traffic through their website to your property.  The Channel Manager allows the full transaction to take place on the
Partner's software/checkout page.  The integration immediately places an inventory hold on your RoverPass Calendar with the guest's name and reservation information.
    • Difference from Affiliate Partners:  This is an inventory hold as opposed to a real RoverPass Reservation.
    • Difference from Affiliate Partners:  Only RoverPass Inventory Campgrounds are eligible for reservations from Non-partner OTAs.  RoverPass Request Campgrounds must upgrade to inventory and sign up for Channel Manager to link non-partner OTAs.
    • Difference from Integrated Partner: RoverPass maintains no direct relationship with these OTAs, so you do not need to be a Marketplace Campground to receive reservations from non-partner OTA's.  Whereas RoverPass will help to set up your accounts with partners, you will need to purchase the RoverPass Channel Manager and have Non-partner OTA listings fully set up before RoverPass can connect them to your RoverPass Calendar.

Q: What is an Inventory Hold?

A:  This object resembles a reservation, but it holds only minimal information as its main purpose is to place a hold on a site for particular dates to ensure that you do not get double booked.  When you receive an Inventory Hold from an integrated OTA, this signals to you that the reservation itself was taken on a different OTA (see source) and blocked on your RoverPass Calendar to ensure that inventory is held to serve the reservation you received (from Hipcamp, Spot2Nite, BookOutdoors, airbnb, Expedia, booking.com, VRBO, etc).   It is important that you do not edit an Inventory Hold directly as you cannot take payment or perform a refund on an Inventory Hold.  Instead refer your guests to their source OTA for any necessary adjustments (cancellations, refunds, adding more people, any change that needs to be done to the original reservation).

The integration with other OTAs syndicates inventory (via Inventory Holds) and pricing information, but does not completely transfer all information (payments, photos, descriptions, etc) to make sure that the integration is as reliable and fast as possible.  This allows you to be on multiple platforms at once without concern for double bookings.   You don't have to manually sync reservations between all of your platforms / channels / OTA's (Online Travel Agencies).
