Here’s a quick explanation of what you can expect if you receive a reservation from our Hipcamp partner.
Hipcamp is an extremely popular platform for discovering and booking unique outdoor stays.
As a RoverPass customer, Campers are able to book your property through Hipcamp with no extra hassle or cost to you. Here’s how it works:
Hipcamp Reservation Process
- A Camper is browsing Hipcamp for a Campground
- They find one they like, and it’s a RoverPass Campground
- The Camper creates a reservation and pays Hipcamp
- Hipcamp sends the Camper and the Campground a confirmation email. This email is informational only, your RoverPass calendar will be updated with the reservation.
Where can I find the Reservation?
The reservation is automatically created in your RoverPass Calendar as a Pre-Loaded Reservation (a.k.a External Reservation).
You can click the Reservation to see basic information:

Can I change the site for the Reservation?
Yes, you certainly can!
The Camper wants to make modifications or wants to cancel the reservation. What should I do?
If a camper reaches out to you asking for information, modifications, or cancellation of a Hipcamp reservation, you will need to refer them to Hipcamp.
The Camper wants to shorten their stay after having checked-in. What should I do?
If the camper wants to shorten their reservation while being at your park, you will need to refer them to Hipcamp. Hipcamp will process any cancellations and/or refunds, following your cancellation policies.
The Camper wants to extend their stay after having checked-in. What should I do?
If the camper wants to extend their reservation while being at your park, you can create a new reservation in the RoverPass calendar for the remaining dates and process it as you usually do.
How do I know the rig and occupancy information?
This information is sent in the Hipcamp confirmation email.
Should I collect Payment for these reservations?
No. For reservations generated through Hipcamp, payment is collected in full by them.
How will my Payout be processed?
Hipcamp will send your Payout directly to you. Your RoverPass Marketplace Fee will already be discounted.
