How to Manage Tax Settings in RoverPass
Please note: RoverPass does not collect or remit taxes on your behalf. Any taxes charged to campers are paid out to you through Direct Deposit, and it is your responsibility to submit those taxes to the appropriate government agencies.
When a tax rate is configured, it is automatically added to the applicable charges and collected from the camper.
You can manage taxes at different levels:

If you charge multiple taxes for the same item, combine them into one total percentage before entering the rate in RoverPass.

For most campgrounds located in the United States and Canada, we recommend using the default option:

The alternative option is designed for campgrounds operating in other countries.
Your account-wide tax settings can be overridden in the following areas:
If a tax rate is set at one of these levels, it will override your account-wide tax settings for that specific item.
Each Site Type can have its own reservation tax rate.

Note: Electric fees are not taxed by default. If you need to apply tax to electric fees, you must configure this through your Meter Reading settings.
To review how taxes are being applied to reservations, use the Itemized Tax Report in the Reporting section of your RoverPass Owner Portal.
This report provides a breakdown of taxes collected for each reservation and item.
