RoverPass strives for transparency between campers and park owners. Keep reading to learn how to handle negative reviews!
At RoverPass, we understand that campground owners value their reputation and want to maintain a positive image. Receiving a negative review can be disheartening, but they play a vital role in creating an honest and transparent view of your campground for potential guests. While we can't remove every unfavorable review, there are certain specific cases where we will take action.
When Will RoverPass Remove a Review?
We side with our campground owners and will remove reviews that:
- Use profanity
- Contain verifiably false information
- Include personal attacks
If a review left on your listing contains any of the above, please reach out to RoverPass Support. Our team will investigate the issue and remove the review if it violates these guidelines.
Why Most Reviews Will Stay
Outside of the cases listed above, reviews cannot be removed. The goal of reviews is to give campers a well-rounded view of your campground. As a result, we do not delete reviews simply because they are negative or critical. Feedback about things like service quality, noise, or cleanliness, even if negative, will not be removed unless it violates our strict guidelines.
We believe that keeping all types of reviews (positive, neutral, and negative) ensures the credibility of our review system. Deleting every unfavorable review would result in only 5-star ratings, which wouldn’t give potential guests an accurate view of what to expect.
How to Respond to a Review
When a review doesn't meet the removal criteria, responding professionally can turn the situation around. A thoughtful response shows potential campers that you care about feedback and are committed to making improvements. Here are a few tips:
- Acknowledge the guest's experience and any concerns they raised.
- Offer your perspective or explain any steps you've taken to address the issue.
- Show your willingness to learn and improve from the feedback.
By addressing reviews with care, you provide future campers with a balanced and honest view of your campground.
