Using Data Capture in RoverPass Ticketing

Data Capture is similar to Custom Fields, where you can gather valuable information from campers that purchase tickets for your next event

Create a New Custom Field

Step 1: Login to your RoverPass Ticketing account

Step 2: On the left hand side, select 'Events' then 'View Events'

Step 3: Select the event you would like to add data capture fields to. On the home page of the event, click 'Add Data Capture Questions'

Step 4: You will be able to see the 'Default' fields that are asked during a customer's first purchase or event registration process. You can toggle these to be enabled, mandatory, or hidden during checkout.

Step 4: To create a new Custom Field for Data Capture for your specific event, click on 'Add More Questions'

Step 5: Next, add a question and select the field type (Short/Long Text, Date, Check Box, etc.)

Step 6: After creating your Data Capture question, click 'Submit' 

Step 7: Repeat Steps 1-6 to add any additional questions. Once all Data Capture questions have been created, select all questions that you would like to include on your event and click 'Add selected questions to Event'

Step 8: You will be directed back to the Event Data Capture Questions, and can select if you would like your Data Capture questions to be enabled, mandatory or hidden at online checkout!

 

Please Note: When creating a new Data Capture, it may take up to 5 minutes to appear in your event at checkout

 

Reviewing Captured Data from Custom Fields

Step 1: Go to 'Events' and select 'Manage Events'

Step 2: Select the Event you would like to view more details on for your attendees

Step 3: Click on 'Attendance'

To review a full list of data collected: 

  • Click on 'Edit Fields'
  • Select the field you would like to view
  • Click the 'Update Fields' button

To review individual answers by customer:

  • Click on the 'View' link on the customer line
  • You will be able to view their responses at the bottom of the form for review
