Site Optimization in RoverPass works automatically to help parks maximize occupancy and minimize scheduling gaps between reservations.

When a guest books a site but does not select or pay for a specific one, the system will automatically assign them to the site that is most efficient for your park โ€” within the same pricing tier they booked.

The goal is to reduce empty nights and make it easier for your park to accept longer stays in the future.

Letโ€™s say your park has two available sites for the same dates, and a guest books a 2-night stay:

  • Site A is available only for those exact 2 nights.

  • Site B is available for 5 consecutive nights (which includes those 2 nights).

In this case, the system will automatically assign the guest to Site A, the shorter opening.

This allows Site B to remain open for a potential 5-night reservation โ€” helping you increase occupancy and revenue.
