RoverPass fees: what processing and platform fees mean

Understanding RoverPass Fees

When processing reservations through RoverPass, you may see different fees associated with each transaction. These fees cover different services, including payment processing and access to the RoverPass platform.

Understanding the difference between these fees can help you better manage your reservations and payouts.

Processing Fee

The processing fee is charged by our payment processor, Stripe, for handling credit card transactions.

This fee covers services such as:

  • Secure payment processing
  • Credit card transaction handling
  • Payment security and compliance

Processing fees are standard across online payment transactions and are charged by the payment provider, not RoverPass.

Can I Pass Processing Fees to Campers?

Yes! RoverPass allows campgrounds to pass processing fees on to campers for online reservations. This is a common practice for online transactions and can help cover the cost of payment processing.

To enable this feature for your campground, please contact [email protected], and our team will be happy to assist you.

RoverPass Platform Fee

The RoverPass Platform Fee is a fee charged for each reservation processed through the RoverPass platform.

This fee helps support the tools and services that allow you to manage your campground, including:

  • Online reservations
  • Booking management tools
  • Payment collection
  • Reservation communication
  • Platform improvements and support

The platform fee is automatically applied to eligible reservations processed through RoverPass.
