Everything You Need to Know About Using and Managing Your Payment Terminals

1. Do I need to be a RoverPass customer to use the terminal?

Yes, the RoverPass Terminal solution is fully integrated with your RoverPass reservation system. If you're not a RoverPass All-In-One Reservation Software customer yet, you can book a free demo and talk with a RoverPass expert.

2. Does the terminal require Wi-Fi?
Yes, you’ll need a Wi-Fi connection to process payments and sync transactions with your account.

3. Can I use the terminal anywhere on my property?
Absolutely. The terminal is portable and wireless, making it easy to take payments wherever you need.

4. What payment types are accepted?
Guests can pay using chip cards, contactless tap, or swipe. All major credit and debit cards are supported.

5. What’s the dock for?
The dock keeps your terminal charged while in use. It’s helpful for front desk setups or mobile use throughout the day.

6. Is the terminal secure?
Yes, it meets PCI and EMV compliance standards and uses encrypted technology to protect every transaction.

7. Will someone help me set it up?
Yes, our support team is available to help you get started and answer any questions along the way.

8. Are there any monthly fees for using the RoverPass Terminals?
 No, there are no monthly fees. You only pay the standard processing fees per transaction as usual.

9. How long does it take to receive my terminal after ordering?
 Shipping typically takes 10 to 14 days after your order is placed.


10. Can I use the terminal offline if Wi-Fi is temporarily unavailable?
 The terminal requires an internet connection to process payments and sync data, so offline payments are not supported.


11. Does the terminal support refunds or voids?
 No, refunds and voids cannot be processed directly through the terminal. All refund requests must be handled through RoverPass.


12. What happens if a transaction fails?
 Failed transactions will show an error message on the terminal. You can retry or use another payment method. 


13. Is the terminal compatible with other payment processors?

No. The RoverPass Terminal works exclusively with Stripe for payment processing to ensure seamless integration and security.
