Minimum Nights by Booking Window lets you set different minimum-stay requirements depending on how far in advance a guest books.
For example:
This can help prevent guests from booking only 1 night far in advance, while still allowing shorter last-minute stays to fill open dates.
This setting is off by default and is configured per pricing tier.
Each rule has two parts:
RoverPass checks the rules from top to bottom. The first rule that matches is the one that applies.
The booking window is the number of days between the booking date and the check-in date.
The minimum from the matching rule replaces the normal minimum for that booking.
If no rule matches, RoverPass uses the normal minimum from the pricing tier.

If the stay overlaps a Holiday Pricing period, the booking-window rules are ignored. The Holiday Pricing minimum applies instead.

| Booking time | Minimum stay |
|---|---|
| 60+ days before arrival | 3 nights |
| 7–59 days before arrival | 2 nights (regular minimum) |
| Fewer than 7 days before arrival | 1 night |
RoverPass checks the rules from top to bottom and uses the first matching rule.
For example, if you have a rule saying "0 or more days before arrival", it matches every booking. Any rules below it would never be used.

You set up rules from the Rate Editor, and they take effect as soon as you save.
Setting up a new tier? The tab unlocks after the tier is created. Save the Overview tab first.

In the Rate Editor, a clock icon appears next to the tier name, and next to the site plan name, when a tier uses booking-window minimums. Hover over it to see "Minimum nights by booking window is on."
Open the tab, turn off Set minimum nights by booking window and click Save. The tier goes back to its regular minimums. Your rules are kept, so turning the switch back on restores them.
Guests see the minimum for their booking date. If their stay is too short, the tier still shows up and tells them how long to stay, so it doesn't look sold out.
A tier only shows as "needs a longer stay" when it has open sites for those dates. If it's full, it doesn't appear at all.
Because the minimum depends on when the guest books, the same dates can show a different minimum later. In the example above, a 2-night stay searched 90 days out needs 3 nights, but the same stay searched 30 days out can be booked.
This checkout display also applies to your seasonal and regular minimums, so you'll see it even on tiers without booking-window rules.
Do the rules apply when my team books a guest? Yes. Reservations your team creates follow the same minimums. To book a shorter stay anyway, check Min Nights Required under Override Rules when building the reservation.
How do the rules work with my seasonal minimums? A matching rule replaces the seasonal minimum for that stay. Bookings that match no rule keep using the minimum from your pricing periods, so seasonal differences still apply there.
Can a rule require more nights than my regular minimum? Yes. A rule can raise or lower the minimum. For example, you could require 4 nights for bookings made 120 or more days out.
Why can't I save two rules with the same number of days? Each rule needs a different condition or number of days. "30 or more days" and "Fewer than 30 days" can both exist, but two "30 or more days" rules can't.
Do the rules apply to bookings from online travel agencies? Not yet. If you use Channel Management, your connected channels still receive the regular minimum from your pricing periods, not your booking-window rules.
Can I use it on some tiers and not others? Yes. Rules are set per pricing tier, and tiers without the switch on keep working as before.
