How to create a form

Six steps, about five minutes.

1Open Lead Capture
From your CMS sidebar, click Lead Capture, then + New Form in the top right.

2Name your form
Give it a clear internal name like “Newsletter Signup” or “Off-Season Promo”. The description is optional — visitors never see either field.
3Add and customize your fields
Three default fields come pre-loaded — First Name, Last Name, and Email. Add more if you need them. Drag to reorder; the order in the builder is the order visitors see.

4Design the look
In the Design tab, set the title, subtitle, colors, button text, success message, and an optional background image. The live preview on the right updates as you type.

5Choose where it shows
In the Visibility tab, enable Footer, Popup, or both. For popups, set the delay, position, frequency cap, and page targeting.

6Save and publish
Click Save Form in the top right. Footer forms go live immediately; popups start appearing on targeted pages on the next visit.


Tracking submissions

Open the Submissions tab to see incoming leads. Search by name or email, filter by form or source, export to CSV, or sync to your Owner Portal guestbook. Smart deduplication keeps your list clean — if the same email submits twice, the existing record is updated rather than duplicated.

Best practices

✓  Keep forms short. 3–5 fields is the sweet spot. Each extra field drops conversion 5–10%.
✓  Delay popups 15–30 seconds. Sooner feels pushy; later misses too many visitors.
✓  Cap popup frequency. “Per session” or “Per user” respects your visitor’s time.
✓  Offer something. Discounts, off-season deals, or trip ideas perform better than “Sign up for our newsletter”.
✓  Test on mobile. Most campground site traffic is mobile — preview your form on a phone before going live.
Tip. A short, well-targeted form with smart cadence captures roughly 3–5× more leads than a long form fired the moment someone lands.

Do I need any coding experience?

How many forms can I have?
Unlimited. Build and run as many simultaneously as you need — each has its own submissions feed.
Can I export my leads?
Yes. All submissions can be exported to CSV from the Submissions tab.
Can I pause a form?
Yes. Toggle it off anytime — design, settings, and existing submissions all stay safe. Turn it back on whenever you’re ready.
Can I edit a form after it’s live?
Yes. Open the form, make changes, save — the updated version is live immediately. Existing submissions are unaffected.
