In-Person Booking lets you show a pricing tier on your RoverPass booking page, with its real availability and prices, while stopping guests from reserving it online. Guests are asked to call or visit your park instead, and your staff book the stay for them.
Use it for first-come, first-served sites, walk-up inventory, or any sites you want guests to see but not take online.
The setting is turned on per pricing tier, so it covers every site that tier applies to. It does not hide anything: guests still find the tier in search and can check which sites are open for their dates.
You turn it on from the Rate Editor, and it takes effect as soon as you save.
If you leave the message blank, guests see this default:
These sites are first-come, first-served — you can see availability online, but to complete a reservation you must visit the Main Office in person.
Tip: RoverPass doesn't add your phone number to the message for you. If you want guests to call, include your number and office hours in your message, for example: "Our cabins are booked by phone only. Call us at (555) 123-4567, 9am–5pm daily."
Only want some sites held for walk-ups? The setting covers every site in the tier. Create a separate pricing tier for the walk-up sites, turn In-Person Booking on for that tier only, and keep your other tiers bookable online.
Team members need access to the Rate Editor to change this setting.
Guests can browse the tier's prices and open sites, but every step points them to your office instead of to checkout.
If a guest already has other stays in their cart, such as a group booking, those still book online as usual.
Guests can't get around the setting. If someone tries to book this tier online, or to change an existing reservation over to it, RoverPass stops the booking with: "This rate can only be booked in person. Please call the park or arrive in person to reserve."
Day-use tiers work the same way.
Your team books these sites the same way you book any phone or walk-in guest: from the owner portal. In-Person Booking only blocks guests booking themselves online.
Your team can also move an existing reservation onto an in-person tier.
Staff must be signed in to the owner portal as a team member of your park. Being signed in on your public booking page does not unlock the tier.
How do I turn it off? Open the tier in the Rate Editor, turn off the In-Person Booking switch and click Save. Guests can book the tier online again right away. Your custom message is kept, so it's there if you turn the setting back on.
Can each tier have its own message? Yes. The message is saved per pricing tier, so your cabins can say "call the office" while your tent sites say "first-come, first-served at the kiosk."
Does the custom message change everything guests see? No. It replaces the pop-up text only. The In-Person Booking tags, the cart note and the message shown if someone tries to book anyway use standard wording.
Is this the same as hiding a site plan from my listing? No. Hiding a site plan removes it from your public page. In-Person Booking keeps the tier visible with its prices and availability, but guests can't book it online.
What about bookings from channel partners? In-Person Booking only controls your RoverPass booking page. If you connect to partners through Channel Management, don't map your in-person sites to them.
Does it work for Reservation Request campgrounds? Not yet. Guests at a Reservation Request campground would see no sites for an in-person tier, so leave the setting off.
