How to Set Up and Manage Event Ticketing in RoverPass

How to Set Up and Manage Event Ticketing in RoverPass

RoverPass Event Ticketing helps campground and RV park operators create events, sell tickets, check guests in with QR codes, and track event performance from one connected workflow.

Whether you run seasonal activities, live music nights, guided tours, workshops, or day passes, Event Ticketing keeps everything connected to the platform your team already uses.

Open Events & Activities

From your RoverPass dashboard, open Events & Activities.

This is where you can:

  • Create and manage events
  • Add ticket type
  • Review orders
  • Scan tickets at check-in
  • Track event performance

Create Your Event

To create a new event:

  1. Open the Events section
  2. Select Create Event
  3. Add your event details:
    • Event name
    • Description
    • Event photos
    • Location
    • Event dates and times
    • Capacity limits

This information appears during checkout and inside the guest's ticket confirmation.

Examples of events parks commonly create

  • Live music nights
  • Holiday weekends
  • Community dinners
  • Guided tours
  • Classes and workshops
  • Day passes
  • Seasonal activities

Add Ticket Types

After creating the event, set up your ticket types.

Ticket types let you control:

  • Pricing
  • Inventory
  • Sales windows
  • Minimum and maximum order limits

Examples:

  • General Admission
  • VIP Access
  • Child Ticket
  • Weekend Pass

You can create multiple ticket types for the same event depending on how the experience is sold.

Enable Ticket Holder Names

Some events require guest-specific tickets.

When enabled, guests will enter the ticket holder's name during checkout. This is useful for:

  • Guided activities
  • Workshops
  • Limited-capacity events
  • Higher-touch guest experiences

Ticket holder names appear on the digital ticket and inside the admin view for easier check-in management.

Sell Tickets Online or at the Front Desk

Guests can purchase tickets during online checkout directly from your RoverPass booking flow.

You can also sell tickets at the front desk for walk-in guests or same-day purchases through your General Store.

After purchase, guests automatically receive:

  • Digital ticket confirmations
  • QR codes
  • Ticket codes
  • Event details
  • Ticket type information

Guests can also access their tickets from their account dashboard.

Use the Check-In Scanner

When the event starts, open the Check-In Scanner from the event dashboard.

Staff can:

  • Scan QR codes
  • Confirm ticket validity
  • See if a ticket was already checked in
  • Review recent scans
  • Undo check-ins when needed

This helps teams move guests through entry faster during busy events.

Offline Check-In Support

If your connection becomes unstable during an event, RoverPass can continue processing check-ins offline.

Pending scans automatically sync once service returns.

This is especially useful for:

  • Rural campgrounds
  • Large outdoor events
  • Areas with inconsistent cellular coverage

Review Event Performance

After the event, you can review performance directly from RoverPass.

Track:

  • Tickets sold
  • Remaining inventory
  • Revenue
  • Order count
  • Order source
  • Check-in progress

This gives operators a clearer picture of which events perform best and what to repeat in future seasons.

Create Event Series

If your park runs recurring events, you can create an event series to keep related dates organized together.

This works well for:

  • Weekly classes
  • Seasonal programs
  • Multi-day festivals
  • Repeating tours
