How to Save a Card on File - For Campground owners/staff
Save a Guest's Card on File
Saving a guest's card on file allows you to securely charge that same card for future invoices associated with the reservation, eliminating the need to request the payment information again.
Save a Card During Reservation Creation
- In your RoverPass Owner Portal, click Create Reservation.
- Complete the reservation details as usual, including the guest's email address. The Save card on file for future use option will only appear once a valid camper email has been entered.
- When you reach the payment section, enter the guest's credit card information.
- Check the Save card on file for future use box

- Click Pay & Complete to finalize the reservation.
Once the reservation is completed, the guest's card will be securely stored and available for future charges related to that reservation.
Charge the Saved Card Later
If you create an additional or scheduled invoice for the same reservation, you can use the saved payment method instead of requesting the card again.
- Open the reservation.
- Navigate to the Scheduled Invoice you want to charge.
- Select the Use customer's payment card on file option.
- Process the payment.
Important Notes
- Always obtain the guest's permission before saving or charging a card on file. Unauthorized charges may result in payment disputes, and any associated fees will be the responsibility of the campground.
- Cards saved on file can only be used for invoices associated with the same reservation.
- Cards on file cannot be used for General Store purchases.
