How to Create a Facebook Page and Add a Book Now Button

This guide walks you through creating a Facebook Page for your RV park or campground and adding a Book Now button that links directly to your website or online reservation page. While Facebook's interface changes from time to time, the steps below reflect the current Page experience.

Before You Start

You'll need:

  • A personal Facebook account (required to create and manage a Facebook Page)
  • Your campground or RV park name
  • A business category (such as Campground or RV Park)
  • A profile photo (your logo or a photo of your property)
  • A cover photo (optional but recommended)
  • Your website or online reservation page URL

Part 1: Create Your Facebook Page

Step 1: Log in to Facebook

Go to Facebook and sign in with your personal Facebook account.

If you don't already have an account, you'll need to create one first. Facebook Pages must be managed through a personal profile.

Step 2: Create a New Page

From Facebook:

  1. Open the Menu (the nine-dot grid on desktop or the Menu icon on mobile).
  2. Select Pages.
  3. Click Create New Page.

Step 3: Enter Your Business Information

Complete the following fields:

  • Page Name: Your campground or RV park name.
  • Category: Choose the category that best describes your business (such as Campground or RV Park).
  • Bio (optional): Add a short description of your property.

Click Create Page.

Step 4: Add Your Photos

Facebook will prompt you to upload:

  • Profile Photo (your logo or a photo of your campground)
  • Cover Photo (a wide image showcasing your property)

These aren't required, but they're highly recommended to make your Page look professional.

Your Facebook Page is now ready.

Part 2: Add a Book Now Button

Adding a Book Now button allows campers to access your reservation page directly from Facebook.

Step 1: Open Your Facebook Page

Go to your Facebook Page.

Under your cover photo, click:

  • Add Action Button, or
  • Edit Action Button if your Page already has one.

Step 2: Choose Your Button

Select Book Now if it's available.

Depending on your Page settings or Facebook updates, you may instead see options such as:

  • Visit Website
  • Learn More
  • Contact Us
  • Get Tickets

If Book Now isn't available, choose the option that best directs campers to your online reservation page.

Click Next.

Choose Link to Website.

Paste your online reservation page URL (recommended) or your campground's website.

Click Save.

Your action button will now appear on your Facebook Page.

Best Practices

  • Link directly to your online reservation page instead of your homepage whenever possible.
  • Use a high-quality cover photo that highlights your campground.
  • Keep your Page updated with photos, events, and recent posts.
  • Complete your business information, including:
    • Address
    • Phone number
    • Website
    • Hours (if applicable)
  • Test your action button after saving to make sure it opens the correct page on both desktop and mobile devices.

Managing Your Page

Many campground owners manage their Facebook Pages through Meta Business Suite. If you don't see certain settings directly on your Page, they may be available within Business Suite instead.

You're All Set!

Your Facebook Page is now ready to help campers discover your campground and book their stay more easily.

If you ever need to update your booking link or have questions about connecting your reservation page, our team is happy to help.
