How to Check In Event Ticket Holders

How to Check In Event Ticket Holders

When you host an event, guests receive their tickets with QR codes by email or text after purchase. There are three ways to check ticket holders in: scan QR codes at the gate, check in individual tickets from your ticket sales list, or check in tickets in bulk when a guest checks in to their reservation.

Scan QR Codes at the Gate

  1. Open your event's details page and find the Quick Actions card.
  2. Click Check-In Scanner.
  3. Tap Tap to Start Scanning and allow camera access if your phone or tablet asks.
  4. Point the camera at the guest's ticket QR code. Each successful scan plays a sound and vibrates so you don't have to watch the screen.
  5. Keep scanning — the Recent Scans list shows who you've checked in.

If a ticket was already used, you'll see an "Already Checked In!" alert, and tickets that don't belong to the event show as "Invalid Ticket." The scanner works in the browser on iPhones and Android phones — no app to install.

The scanner also works offline. If you lose signal at the gate, you'll see a notice that check-ins will sync when connected. Scans are saved on your device, marked Pending Sync, and sent automatically once you're back online. Just be sure to open the scanner page while you still have a connection so your ticket list is loaded first.

Quick Check-In from Ticket Sales

Good for will-call or checking in a single guest by name:

  1. Open your event's Ticket Sales list.
  2. Expand the purchase row for the guest.
  3. Click Check In next to each ticket you want to check in. The ticket's status updates to Checked In.

If a guest's tickets are tied to a reservation, you'll also see an Event Tickets section on their reservation page where you can check in tickets the same way.

Bulk Check-In During Reservation Check-In

If a guest booked a site and bought event tickets, you can handle both at once:

  1. Open the reservation and start the normal check-in.
  2. In the check-in window, an Event Tickets section lists the guest's tickets with checkboxes. All eligible tickets are pre-selected, and a counter shows how many are selected.
  3. Use Select All or Deselect All to adjust, or uncheck individual tickets if some guests haven't arrived yet.
  4. Click Check-In & Collect to finish. The reservation and the selected tickets are checked in together.

Tickets you leave unchecked stay available, so you can check them in later with the scanner or from the ticket sales list.
