How to Backdate a Reservation

How to Backdate a Reservation

RoverPass does not currently allow you to create a reservation with a check-in date in the past. However, you can use the following workaround to backdate a reservation after it has been created.

How to Backdate a Reservation

  1. Create the reservation starting today.
Enter the camper's information, site, and stay details as usual, using today's date as the check-in date.
  2. Confirm the reservation.
  3. Edit the reservation.
Once the reservation is confirmed, modify the check-in date to the actual date the camper arrived.
  4. Review the reservation total.
Since the reservation was initially created starting today, the system will not automatically include the charge for the previous night(s).
  5. Manually add any missing charges.
If the camper stayed one or more nights before the original reservation date, make sure the appropriate amount is manually added so the total reflects the camper's entire stay.

Example

If a camper arrived on September 13 but comes to the office on September 14 to pay and book their stay:

  • Create the reservation with a September 14 check-in date.
  • Confirm the reservation.
  • Change the check-in date to September 13.
  • Review the total and manually add the charge for the previous night if needed.

AlertImportant: Always review the reservation total and payment amount after backdating the reservation to make sure all nights are properly charged.
