RoverPass and HID Global work together to give every guest their own access credential — a mobile key or encoded card tied to a single reservation — and revoke it automatically at checkout.
HID Global is the access-control standard that secure facilities (offices, hospitals, hotels) have used for decades. Their Origo Mobile Access platform delivers credentials to a guest's phone, and their card encoders work with the same readers most parks already have on bathhouses, pools, gates, and cabins.
Most parks rotate a single gate code monthly and hope it doesn't leak. It always does. HID replaces the shared-code problem entirely:
Owners stop rotating gate codes and see exactly who entered the property — and when — without ever reading a log file.
Q: What's the difference between HID and Inex Technologies? HID uses dedicated readers (gate keypad, door lock, etc.) and issues credentials per reservation. Inex uses license-plate-recognition cameras and ties access to the car's plate. Both work; the right choice depends on what hardware your park already has. Some parks run both — HID for buildings, Inex for drive-through gates.
Q: Do guests need to install an app? For mobile credentials, yes — the HID Origo Mobile Access app. It's a one-time install. Or you can issue encoded cards instead and skip the app entirely.
Q: Can I see who entered when? Yes. Every access event is logged on the reservation. You can pull a full entry history from your HID portal or from the RoverPass reservation detail.
Q: What does it cost? HID hardware and credential subscription are paid directly to HID Global — pricing depends on how many readers and how many monthly credentials you issue. The RoverPass-side integration is included in the Integrations bundle ($29/month).
Q: How do I get started? Submit a support ticket or reach out to your RoverPass account manager. We coordinate the HID activation with your HID rep.
