Overview
Digital Queue is an optional feature that creates a virtual waiting room for high-demand booking days. When many guests try to book at the same time, the queue organizes them in a fair, first-come-first-served line—preventing site overload and improving the booking experience.
This feature is powered by Queue-Fair, the original inventor of virtual waiting room technology (patented in 2004), with a perfect 5.0/5 rating on G2 and SourceForge.
When to use it
- Seasonal reservation openings (e.g., summer bookings go live)
Holiday weekend releases
Concert, festival, or event ticket sales (soon)
Any booking moment that attracts high traffic
How it works
Step 1: Guests Arrive
When guests visit your booking page during a high-demand launch, they enter a virtual waiting room instead of overloading your site.
Step 2: Fair Queuing
Guests are placed in a first-come, first-served queue. No one can skip the line—the system enforces strict order.
Step 3: Controlled Release
Guests are released to your booking page at a controlled rate your site can handle, preventing crashes and slowdowns.
Note: When your site isn't busy, guests don't see a queue—they go straight to booking.
What Guests see
While waiting, guests see:
Position in line — Their exact place in the queue
- Estimated wait time — Real-time countdown updated as they progress
- Progress updates — Visual confirmation they're moving forward
- Fair process messaging — Reassurance that the system is first-come, first-served
This transparency reduces frustration and keeps guests engaged instead of leaving.
