If you've already processed a refund or neet to process one, but your camper tells you they closed the card or bank account that was originally used for the payment, don't worry—the refund is not lost.
Refunds can only be sent back to the original payment method used for the transaction. It isn't possible to redirect a refund to a different card or bank account.
Even if the original card has been replaced or the account has been closed, the refund is still sent to the financial institution that issued the card.
If the camper no longer has access to the original account, they should contact their bank or card issuer and provide the Acquirer Reference Number (ARN) for the refund.
The bank can use this reference number to locate the refund and transfer it to the camper's current account, if applicable.
The Acquirer Reference Number (ARN) is a unique tracking number assigned to every card refund. It allows the bank to locate a refund even if the original card has been replaced or the account has been closed.
If your camper needs the ARN, contact RoverPass Support and we'll be happy to provide it.
